Explore Elizabethton/Carter County
The Watauga House is one of the oldest houses in Carter County at over 120 years old. There are many things that you can do for entertainment, on or near the property. We even have a private fishing hole on the Watauga River just down the road from the house. There are a lot of other things to do in Elizabethton, and the Tri-cities area, as well...

Historic Downtown
See the famous Elizabethton Covered Bridge (pictured), or catch an Elizabethton Twins baseball game... or maybe you prefer browsing the many local shops for antiques and curios. There are also great trails throughout town for biking, walking, and exploring, like the Tweetsie Trail

The Watauga River
If you are more into watersports than you are walking or biking, we have you covered there as well. The Watauga River has been a favorite amongst fisherman and rafters alike for many years. Watauga Lake is also located nearby for those who prefer boating and waterskiing.

Fort Watauga
If history is more your thing , you may prefer the sights such as Fort Watauga at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park, where there is always something going on, or you could visit the Carter Mansion, or Sabine Hill, two of the oldest standing houses in the state of Tennessee.
